     After Mass almost all gathered around and we prayed in the church and left by 8.00 am and and visiting the above places reached back safely by 7.20 p.m. A destination at Thenmala was cancelled for some reasons and children were not that happy. Children were not taken into confidence, it seems!

   May be next year, things could be organized giving sufficient say to children and their tastes. Thanks for one and all.

Onam Celebrations...

'Onam' the harvest festival of the state of Kerala was celebrated on Sunday 4th September 2011, by our catechism children by the traditional 'Pookkalam' competition. The regular style of coloured salt pookkalam was taken back to its original floral creations. Children could be seen taking it serious and made good pookkalams. It was followed by enjoying the 'payasam', a sweet porridge like stuff, yet another usual item. "Happy Onam!"

Patroness' Feast...

This year the Patroness' feast commenced on Saturday, 6th August with the hoisting of the flag. On 8th and 9th there were renewal retreat by one Fr. Denni OFM Cap.

This year the entire feast programme was prepared and executed by the Feast Committee (with the timely assistance of the sisters here) which was empowered by the Parish Council. Mr. Stanley was the General Convenor and John Cyril was highly supportive as usual with him always. The parish priest was almost out of station! Bro. Saneesh too was of much help. But for so many other people it would not have been what it was so good and moderate.

There were little strife among conflicting interests in the parish! Eight children received First Holy Communion this year. The children were formed by Ms. Prema Alexander and Sr. Elby.

Biblia Quizz...

'Biblia' Bible Quizz conducted by Shalom TV organized its zonal competitions at Sarvodaya School Auditorium, Nalanchira on Saturday, 9th April. In the second round of teams competed, our parish team comprising of 1. Ms. Prema Alexander, 2. Laila Antony, 3. Rita Vincent, 4. Assumpta Arogyaraj, 5. Sheela, 6. Femila, 7. Remya, 8. Merin, 9. Hridya, 10. Shilpa, 11. Hruday and 12. Mr. Arogyaraj came up first. With the support team led by Mr. Arogyaraj, Ms. Prema and Ms. Laila performed so well. Congratulations! Wish them continous success in the forthcoming competitions too.
